BRAD COOPER - SENIOR PASTOR
Pastor Brad is the founding pastor of Cross Road Fellowship
Bible Church.
Raised in the church Brad and his wife, Robyn, have served the Lord in
several churches during their 26 year marriage. Those years of ministry
included serving as youth leaders, choir members and Sunday School
teacher in classes with average attendances of over 200. After serving in
the financial services industry for 13 years Brad answered the call of
God to full time ministry in September, 1996 joining the staff of Central
Community Church in Wichita, Kansas serving as Pastor of Business and
Finance for the next six years. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with a
degree in Christian Ministry from Tabor College
in 2001.
Brad is married to Robyn, and they have two grown daughters, Taryn 23
years old and Tristyn, 21 years old. Both girls are students at Baker
University in Baldwin, Kansas
"I was raised Southern Baptist, married into a Methodist family,
ordained in the Church of God (Anderson) and graduated from a Mennonite
university. There is a good reason we are an independent,
non-denominational church. I believe basic tenets of the faith should
unite, not divide the church. We lift up the name of Jesus Christ, live
urgently for His return and believe in the perfect grace of God. Come
join us!"
STEVE SMITH -
ASSOCIATE PASTOR
Feeling called as a young person
into full-time ministry, Pastor Steve attended Manhattan Christian
College where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in Family Ministry,
with minors in Christian Education and Youth Ministry. He did a summer
youth ministry internship at Raintree Christian Church in Lubbock, Texas.
After graduating from college, Pastor Steve did a several years
internship at Central
Community Church,
primarily working with the student ministry department, grounds and
sports ministry. Pastor Steve joined up with Cross Road
Fellowship Bible Church
in May of 2003, where he came on staff as associate pastor.
Steve and Jennifer have been married for seven years, and she enjoys
serving alongside him. They have a beautiful daughter, Faith Carolyn that
fills their lives with abundant joy daily.
Though Pastor Steve is privileged to work with people of all ages at Cross Road in
many different settings, he primarily works with youth and young adults.
It is a goal to see these young people grow in their relationship with
Jesus Christ and become grounded in a faith of their own. He also heads
up the Men's Basketball Leagues that we have here in the fall and spring.
PAM JOHNSON - DIRECTOR OF KIDS MINISTRY
She was with us at the beginning
and is staying for the fun. With 6 years of church experience, she has
proven herself to be invaluable by helping with events, working with the
children, being a trouble shooter for last minute adjustments, and
helping the Pastors of Cross Road help the congregation. The caring way
she deals with people is something not taught in a book, as she honed
many skills in the real world.
Pam has been married to Terry for 30 blissful years.
"I wasn’t raised in a church going family. We were mostly
"C" and "E" attenders (in other words only attending
on Christmas and Easter). I attended Vacation Bible
School at the
invitation of a neighbor when I was 7 and accepted Jesus Christ as my
Savior. I pray daily that I follow HIS plan. God has opened many doors
that have given me the opportunity to do Kingdom work. GOD is a GREAT
boss."
MARY GREEN - OFFICE MANAGER
Mary Green joined our staff in September
2004 to be our new Office Manager and Bookkeeper. She brings experience
to the office having worked in accounting positions as well as serving as
the accountant of a large church in Wichita
for the past 4 1/2 years. She is responsible for all the financial
records and accounting functions for the church as well as all of the
other record keeping functions at Cross Road.
Mary and her husband, Wayne, have three children and five beautiful
grandchildren. They all live in, or close to, Wichita and so they are a very
important part of her life. she calls them her treasures. family has
always been a top priority in her life.
Mary grew up in a Christian home and in the church. she accepted Christ
as her Savior as a young teen and committed her life to serving Him. She
has a desire to be used by God to bring others to Christ and be a builder
of His kingdom. she enjoys people and cares about their hurts and needs.
Her mission is to encourage, pray for, and help those that He brings into
her path.
Boyce
Ingram – Director of Music
Boyce
joins our team to serve as Director of Worship Ministries and Director of
the Young Adult Ministry. Boyce and his beautiful wife, Shelly, are not
strangers to our church family as they have been directly involved with
praise and worship (especially our Live and Unplugged services) at Cross Road.
Shelly is also a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and has been
providing counseling services at the church the past several months.
Boyce and
Shelly were both born and raised in Wichita.
Boyce graduated from West
High School and
immediately went out to make his way in the world. They have been married
nineyears this October (Pastor Brad says, .Boyce is so old now they will
not have children unless God performs another Abrahamic miracle!.) Boyce
has always had a tremendous love for music, especially as it is related
to worshipping God. He has organized and played in several praise and
worship bands ( and occasionally some ol. hippie stuff) for many years.
"I am so excited about my new position and the opportunity to work
with people I have known in my church life for such a long time. God
certainly has plans for us we never could have foreseen!"
